Tribune Féminine

French to English Translation

My great-grandmother, Jeanne Laurence, published a regular newspaper column "Tribune Féminine" in a newspaper for the French Resistance, “La Porte Normande” (1944-48), Vernon, France. She continued to publish her column in “Le Démocrate” through the end of World War II.

I conceived, proposed and carried out this Independent Study Project at Gould Academy, supported by my French teacher, Mr. Adam Leff. The completed project is available at Gould Academy and includes:

+ 100+ Translated Articles from French to English

+ Documentary Film

+ Research Essay

More details on the project are available at the link below,

Ali Benbrik: Mémoire

French to English Translation

Ali Benbrik’s memoir describes his childhood in Nazi Germany. His German mother and her relatives died in the bombing of Dresden. Around 6 years old, he and his 9-year-old sister were sent to an orphanage in Germany. They were eventually relocated to France.
