Where I feel at home

Maine

The Pine Tree State

Maine to me is breathing clean air and drinking spring water straight from the stream. Favorite activities include hiking, winter camping, biking miles to a lake and jumping in (any season), nordic skiing, and cloud watching from my hammock.

Visit Bethel, ME where the White Mountain views are spectacular Stay a while in The County to explore Baxter State Park and the Katahdin woods, then visit historic Houlton, ME for the solar eclipse totality in April 2024! I love to be where the trees are healthy, people are friendly, and there is lots of open and fresh air.

France

Vernon (Eure, Normandy)

Bonjour! North of Paris near Giverny, Vernon is on the banks of the river Seine and lives and breathes history with its Gothic church, 12th century castles, distinctive architecture, lush farmland and immortal spirit. I came here in 2018 to conduct interviews and visit landmarks of relevant and important people for my Tribune Féminine project. Vernon lives and breathes of my French family ancestry. Read more about Vernon during World War II as relates to my Tribune Féminine project at the link below.

Korea

In the heart of Seoul

안녕하세요! There is so much to love about Korea - food, language, music, palaces, people - Visit Seoul! Learn about Korea's history and culture! It's an amazing place for students - Consider going to school in Seoul! And if you're interested in summer school for Korean language and culture immersion, check out Ewha Womans University, International Summer College (link below). It's co-ed in the summer!

Cambridge, MA

Not just across the river from Boston

Harvard, MIT, Lesley, Hult. Come to Cambridge to mingle with interesting and smart people from around the world. My favorite places, the Cambridge Public Library and pedestrian walkways along the Charles River, are free and welcoming for all! Cambridge is a city where you can spend time outdoors, so grab a book and read while sitting on a riverside bench, or walk/jog/bike along Memorial Drive!
